Science ISU Continued...

So, two weeks ago, we were assigned our Science ISU. for those of you who don't know what an ISU is, it stands for Independent Study Unit, and it is usually a big chunk of your final grade. For this one, it is worth a good 10 percent of our Science finals. For the ISU, we were put into groups, and our task is to collaborate a lesson from 3 sections of the unit we are assigned, and make a Powerpoint presentation to go along with it. Our unit is Climate Change. Not only do I get stuck with the people who don't work well with big assignments and due dates, but our teacher gave us a different task to do. Our task is to do some questions from the Unit Review pages, I have four questions, while the other four of my group members have three (thank god). These questions do not take reading just three sections of the unit, they take reading the entire unit, and on top of that, we have to do some web searching, too! So here I am, doing my part (the project is due tomorrow), and I decide to go on Facebook to put some pictures of my birthday present up (you have already seen it, of course), and I see that I have a new message. In the message, is all the information that one of my group members sent me. This one member has an excuse, though, she doesn't know how to make a Powerpoint presentation. I wasn't sure if she had already made her powerpoint yet (one of the other members was supposed to help her out), so I made up her portion of our lesson for tomorrow. I then decide to check out her profile (call me stalker all you want, I don't care, I was bored), and there, on her wall was one of the other group member's comment saying "fmll! did yu doo ne of the work!". So I'm wondering: How will this go over in Science class tomorrow?! Has she even started? Have any of the other members even started? I guess  we will have to see!

Canoe Trip Cancelled...

So, the canoe trip to Conestogo Lake was cancelled, due to lack of commitment from the cadets. We had 21 cadets sign up, and we ended up with only 6 cadets that were going on the trip, so, therefore, the officers running the trip decided to cancel it. So, the 6 cadets ended up staying for the cadet sports night. AND, my team won on Friday! Yay!
To add to the topic, the trip to Algonquin Provincial Park is still taking place in August. however, we still have to select the cadets that are eligible to go on this prestigious trip, as it is expensive, I'm sure! So, on the 24th and 26th of June, we are having Canoe Training Nights to prepare and evaluate the cadets to select the participants of the Algonquin trip. I will have to warn you other cadets that I am going to try my hardest to get accepted, so you will have some competition! Good luck to you all!
So, because the trip to Algonquin is still going on, I got my birthday present early this year! As you can see in the pictures, it is a backpack. But it's not just A backpack, it is a totally AWESOME and expensive backpack! You may be wondering, why did I get a backpack for my birthday? Well, the Algonquin trip is not just a canoe trip, it is a portaging trip as well, which means that we carry our entire kit with us for the entire time we are there, and we are constantly moving, so we need a method of transporting our stuff, of course. Soo... my parents decided to get me a totally AWESOME backpack! It has so many compartments, that I have a special spot just for my toilet paper! How cool is that?! And, I've been playing around with it for at least 2 hours now, and I am still finding new places to put things! And the best parts...it has it's own detatchable fanny pack, and it has a built in rain cover! I love it so much! Oh, and I forgot to mention, it has a special spot to put your sleeping bag in, too!!! Thanks so much, Dad and Terry!!!!!!

Science ISU: Climate Change

As the question asks, I have chosen to present my findings as a website. So, I chose to give the answer on my blog.
