VALENTINES DAY SPECIAL
“TRUNKS!” Elise cried, watching the fatal blow made by no other than Perfect Cell. He fell to the ground, uttering no movement. She ran over to make herself believe that he was still alive. Tears flowed down her face like a river. She pressed her ear against his chest; he was still breathing. She immediately kneeled upright at his side and did not hesitate to use her ancient healing technique. She lit her hands up in flames, and gently glided her hands across his body, to remove as much pain as possible from his limp structure. She sharply glared at the fight between the remaining fighters and the horrible creature.
“Elise, get some Senzu Beans from Korin!” Krillin spoke up
“I don’t have time to get Senzu Beans!” Elise snapped. “If you haven’t noticed, these two are minutes away from death! I’ll try and do as much as I can to slow it down, but there’s no way in hell that I’ll be able to go all the way there and get some stupid Senzu Beans!” she continued her healing, still bawling. ‘I had faith in you, Trunks…Do you know how difficult that is to say coming from a scientist?’ she told him telepathically, but feared that he wasn’t able to hear.
“If I were you, I’d leave him be!” Vegeta yelled.
“That’s coming from someone who couldn’t care less if his own son was dead!” Elise retorted. She finished the healing. She looked over to 18. “I don’t know if I can do anything for you, being an android and all…” she told her. “I’m sure Krillin will take care of you when he gets the chance, but right now, I have to worry about the people that I love.” She looked back over to Trunks, doubting that she did enough to help him survive. She held her palm open to begin creating one of her Energy Focus balls. She put a huge portion of her energy into the ball, and passed it on to Trunks. ‘You need this more than I do…’ she paused. ‘He needs somewhere safe to rest, not in the middle of a battlefield!’ she sobbed. She looked to Gohan, who was also an emotional wreck. She began to concentrate, he wasn’t as close as she would have liked.
“Gohan!” she shot through her mind. “Give him all you have! I know you can do this, Gohan!”
Both Gohan and Cell got the message.
“Telepathic messaging…clever. A skill I do not possess.” Cell mumbled. “ I find it pathetic that she puts her trust in a young kid like you.” He laughed. Elise bared her teeth.
“I’d watch it if I were you!” she surged. “Before I come over there myself and destroy you with my bare hands!”
Cell burst into hysterical laughter.
“Silly girl…You dare fight me? Soon enough, I will make you a part of my lovely collection!” he called. He hadn’t realized that she had been hiding her power levels to keep the temptation of challenging her away from her worries. She had more important things to take care of.
“Not at this time, but if you’re still here when I come back, then sure.” She replied. “Guys! I’m going to take Trunks to Master Roshi’s! Before I’m too late…”
They all nodded their heads. She picked him up with care, and flew as fast as she could to Master Roshi’s island.
. . .
“Please, Master Roshi!” Elise called from the distance, still in flight. He hurried outside. ‘Oh dear, it’s Elise, this can’t be good.’ He thought. She landed.
“Master! Trunks…he’s not in very good shape, not good at all! Please, can he rest here?” she begged. “I promise I will take care of him. I need to return the favor. It’s the very least I can do!”
He could see the desperateness in her eyes. She really loved him after all. He sighed. He wished he could take Trunks’ place, no woman ever bothered with him anymore.
“Alright, upstairs.” He replied softly.
“I don’t know how to express how thankful of you I am right now, Master!” Elise began to tear up again.
“Just do what you have to.” He replied smugly. ‘Man, I wish I was young again…’
. . .
Once Elise got upstairs, there was already a bed laid out. She slowly and carefully set Trunks down on the mattress. He was covered in scratches and wounds. She sighed heavily, and gazed down at his face hopelessly. ‘Come on, I’m practically a doctor, there’s got to be something I can do other than get a Senzu Bean and revive him!’ she thought to herself. She wanted to give him a reason to trust her. Just then, he let out a small grunt. She got closer to him and stroked his head, like he did when she was sick.
“It’s okay, just relax.” She told him calmly. His face eased up. ‘I think he can hear me now…’ she began to hum one of her most popular ballads. Her tone sounded almost angelic. Trunks responded by letting out a deep breath. ‘He’s more calm now…’ She leaned in and kissed his face gently. ‘I hope he didn’t recover too much to feel that…’ she blushed.
She knew that deep down she wanted him, but she never had the courage to tell him, not even show the slightest feeling for him. She didn’t want a relationship like Vegeta’s. She also knew that he loved her as well, so she assumed that he already knew that she figured it out and he was too shy to say otherwise. She was desperate to get his feelings for her out of him. She dearly hoped that he would live long enough for him to say them to her, so she wanted to do everything in her power to keep him conscious. She knew that times like these were the times where she got most of her inspiration to write her music, then it came to her. She pulled out a small coin and flipped it into the corner of the room. Once it landed on the floor with a small ‘ching!’, it morphed into an ebony black grand piano. ‘If music soothes him, then that’s what I’ll do.’ She thought. She sat at the stool, and began to play a soft and powerful prelude.
. . .
Trunks was running away from Cell forever. He couldn’t seem to get away. He then began to hear a warm sounding song coming from a place that he couldn’t seem to locate. At that moment, Cell disappeared, along with the atmosphere around him, until he was surrounded by nothing but white, just like in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, but instead with such amazing music. He looked around desperately, wondering where the beautiful sound was coming from, but was unable to find it. Just then, Elise appeared far in the distance in front of him. She was wearing an elegant black dress, which contrasted from the view nicely. She stood there, waiting for him.
“Elise?!” he asked
“Yes?” she replied happily. He smiled and ran over to her joyfully, with the music still playing in the background. He wrapped his arms around her as tight as he could, assuring she would never be able to escape his embrace. She followed by resting her head on his shoulders. He looked down at her, who now had a questioning expression.
“Well?”She asked him.
“What?” he replied nervously.
“What are you waiting for?” she asked him calmly. Trunks’ eyes widened. ‘Does she really want me to?!’
“Wake up!” Elise told him.
‘That’s a relief,’ Trunks thought to himself.
. . .
The dream was long gone, but he was still hearing the music. He slowly opened his eyes, and realized that he was at the Kame House. He tilted his head gently to the left, and there, sitting at a gorgeous piano, was Elise, gliding her fingers across the ivory keys. ‘So it was her the whole time…’ he thought, and smiled. He closed his eyes, pretending that he never woke up, in hope that she didn’t notice that he was awake. But, to his disadvantage, Elise sensed his movement, and turned around. He was awake, she could feel it. She smiled down at him.
“Welcome back.” She told him calmly. He opened his eyes, there was no hiding from her anymore. He didn’t reply, he just stared at her. She was beautiful, just like in his dream. He felt the side of his face, which had a tingling feeling to it. Like Elise had..
“Did you…Kiss me?” Trunks asked her uncomfortably. ‘Damn it,’ Elise thought. ‘Now what?’ she crossed her arms.
“Did you want me to?” She retorted in defense. Trunks blushed. ‘Yes..’ he thought to himself, embarrassed.
“I don’t mind, really.” He replied nervously.
“So…That’s a yes?” Elise replied curiously, judging by his expression. ‘Please say yes!’ she screamed in her mind. Trunks’ face was flushed red. He didn’t say anything. Elise saw him blush, assuming that was her permission.
“Aww! Don’t be shy!” Elise teased. She slowly approached him. Trunks felt himself heating up. ‘This is it, I guess.’ He tried to sit up. She kneeled by his side. He lifted his arm to stroke her flawless face as she sat down next to him. He leaned in closer…
As soon as they knew it, their lips were touching. Elise could literally feel how nervous Trunks was, his body was radiating heat.
“Just let it out.” Elise flew into his mind. As his response, he deepened the kiss. He felt much lighter now that he gave it all that he had. He wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her closer, and she followed.
At the end of the kiss, Trunks backed away slowly, nervously. He opened his eyes to see Elise’s face was flushed in red as well. She opened her eyes, and smiled at him hopelessly. He stared back.
“You know…” Elise spoke out truthfully. “That was my very first kiss…”
“Same…” Trunks replied to follow the truthful conversation. He paused in thought. “Doesn’t that mean that it should have been more…significant?”
“By significant, what exactly do you mean?” she asked curiously. She definitely wanted to know where this conversation was heading by the sound of it.
“I don’t know…I guess…longer?” he answered honestly. She smiled seductively.
“Well,” she began. “Did you want to try again?”
‘Ah, what the hell, why not,’ Trunks told himself recklessly. He didn’t reply, he just went in for another kiss. He wrapped his arms around her waist again, and this time she tried to get into bed with him, she didn’t want to sit anymore. She wanted to be a bigger part of this moment. Trunks didn’t stop to question what she was doing, he was more tempted to pull her even closer.
. . .
Almost a minute went by, when downstairs, Master Roshi was curious what they were doing upstairs. He felt their two power levels merge together, as if they had fused or something.
“You feel it, too, don’t you?” Oolong asked him slyly. Oolong had a very good guess what was going on upstairs. So did Master Roshi.
“Leave them be!” he told the pig. “They’re finally…warming up to each other?” he asked himself, clueless. He knew that Trunks had a talk with Krillin before, he just didn’t think that he was actually serious. Just then, he felt their power levels split back into two.
. . .
Trunks was the first to pull away, completely satisfied. ‘Wow.’ He thought to summarize the feeling. Elise was telling herself the same thing. (Don’t worry, they still had clothes on!)
“How are you feeling? I mean health-wise.” Elise asked him, trying to get off the subject.
“Still hurting, a lot.” Trunks told her, suspicious of her reasoning for such a question.
“If you’d like, I can try to get rid of some more of the pain, but it may hurt.”
“Whatever works best.” He told her. She held out her hands, flicked them, and once again, they ignited into flame. Trunks eyes widened at the sight. He was astonished.
“What the-?”
“Relax.” Elise told him firmly. She pressed her hands along his large cuts, especially his chest, which seemed to have almost a complete hole through it. Trunks felt the burning of her hands, but for some reason, it relieved him of pain. He wasn’t quite sure what to think of it.
“Man, Cell hit you hard.” Elise told him to keep his mind occupied from the burning of his skin.
“Yeah, I guess he did.” Trunks followed along hopelessly. He was still in aftershock from the intense action that happened moments before. “Hey…Elise?” He asked her nervously.
“Yeah?” She replied.
“Promise you won’t tell my mom and dad what just happened.” He sounded like a child.
“Well,” Elise laughed. “I don’t think it would matter much to Bulma, but as for Vegeta, yes, I promise.”
